Matters of the Heart

Hope everyone had a happy new year celebration! Unfortunately, ours was pretty stressful. I went to the vet on Saturday because I was having trouble breathing. They did a bunch of tests and discovered I have an enlarged heart and some fluid in my lungs. I always thought having a big heart was a good thing, but apparently not in this case.

My vet recommended I see a cardiologist ASAP and be kept very calm - no grooming appointments or rematches with Bunny anytime soon. I am on some medicine to help my breathing and reduce the swelling, which has already perked me up a bit.

Note from Pip's Assistant: We are trying to remain hopeful, but Pip is pretty sick. Fortunately, he has not lost his appetite, which is a good sign. Once we speak with the cardiologist, we will update you. For now, please keep him in your thoughts. Thank you!

P.S.: Please tune in tomorrow for our review of CANIDAE All Life Stages Dry Formula and our peeps are a flake post on Thursday.

  82. Awe Pip, I'm so sorry to hear this. Your are freaking adorable. We will cross our paws for your health.

And just so you know how much we at Wild Dingo love yorkies, i will share that tho we have a cracker (Loki the GSD Formosan) and a criminal (Juno the Siberian Husky), I've made it perfectly clear that one day I will have a yorkie in our family. And, Loki and Juno enjoy socializing with one of the sweetest, yet most brazen young yorkies in our hood in Switzerland! At less than a year old he runs up to them both unafraid, playbows them and then proceedes to swat the cracker in the face for some play action. The cracker of course obliges the pushy fella and ever so gently plays with him! Sigh. I want one just like you!

And tho Mr. Wild Dingo is all, "no lap doggies," he can't help but giggle and play with that little guy... Yah he's a push over for wee ones even tho he says he likes big doggies....

Hope that little story got your moms mind off of the sickies.
    Big fur hugs to you!
